Cotterill Farm Cottages - Hartington, acclaimed area in the Peak District

Dale View is one of five award winning stone cottages on our non-working farm, in a glorious location over looking dales and rolling countryside in a superb Peak District location

This cottage is for four persons. Although consistently graded 4 Star, the cottage has within the last year had new kitchens fitted with gloss work-tops, halogen cookers and gorgeous granite stone sinks. The shower room has also been up-graded. The cottage have exposed beams. This one and its neighbours are 300 yards up our private drive and form part of a courtyard facing outwards over the surrounding fields and dales to give excellent views and some degree of privacy. In front of the cottages is a large grassed and garden area. There is ample area for off-road parking.

In the cottage there are seven(!) highly organised information folders, partly written by the owners themselves who are lovers of the Peak. Guests have heaped praise on this source of information which ensure that even those who have stayed with us numerous times still find plenty new to do. Events lists are supplied in advance between May and September. Housekeeping and attention to detail is regarded by the owners, who strive to encourage return visits, as being of paramount importance as is their concern is to ensure guests have an excellent holiday.

There are two wild flowers meadows on our land, one of which borders a nature reserve leading after just over a mile to the Rive Dove (at Wolfscote Dale).

Rentals and availabiliy can be seen on the owners' own web site, to which there is a link from this page. Rentals include heating electricity and linen. there are discounts of £20 for three person occupancy and £40 for two person occupancy (whether or not both bedrooms are used)
